Hi fellow scrapbookers,

It’s my birthday month so I am full of lots of joy and excitement. I am still on a high from being at Sweet Shoppe Designs, and I hoped to keep the momentum rolling with this kit about all things tattoo. It’s a fun, slightly retro bright and bold kit that I made for a virtual friend (Thank you Julie) who was lamenting the lack of Tattoo Kits. I have a tattoo that I love the design of but I despise the placement of it… sadly 18 year old me got a lower back tattoo. It was fun making this kit and helping me make peace with my tattoo. Every tattoo has a story and it is always therapeutic to really delve into why you got it and what it means to you. It was also fun thinking of who you got it with and what you were doing at the time. I got my tattoo 3 days after my 18th birthday, so this the almost 27th year anniversary of that day I give you the Inked Up Bundle! You can also buy the kit, journal cards, and word art separately and are all on sale this weekend. Click here for the kit, journal cards, or word art)

I am blown away with the incredible designs by Sugarbabes Angie, Cherry, Heather, Charlene, Judie (displaying her beautiful sketches), Rebecca, Esther, Eve, Leandra (who did such a fun tour of her hubby’s tattoos), and my friend Tammy who has amazing ink and is going to get some more!

I made this layout with Cindy’s amazing template called photo palooza 392. We spent a fair amount of time when my kids were little doing temporary tattoos, henna, and even just painting all over ourselves. I definitely miss those times, but if you don’t have any permanent ink, it is still a fun kit :).

I did several newsprint accents and papers in the kit because I thought the black and white of newsprint went really well with the bold colors. I was playing around and created a Newsprint Maker. It let’s you add newsprint to any picture which can be a fun add in with any of your kits. Unfortunately, it only works with Photoshop or Photoshop elements and is a fairly large download, but I promise you will have so much fun playing with it!! It comes free with the purchase of the Inked Up Bundle. I created a little video to show how it works. Feel free to mock my sound quality – I broke my headphones in creating this video 🙁 .

My Favorite SPort for my Birthday Month

This weekend my Quite Sporting: Lacrosse kit is on sale. This kit is good for women’s and men’s lacrosse, but sadly we have no guy players in our house, but we do watch it. This kit also includes 7 journal cards, so I promise all of your lacrosse scrapping needs will be covered. I have a kit for most sports and I’ll be releasing them through out this year. They all have the same color palette but different emphasis on certain colors. I did this so that you can then scrap your two or three season athlete and everything coordinates, but doesn’t repeat! You can buy the kit here.

Since it’s my birthday month I’m giving away the first kit I’ve ever made, it’s slightly rough around the edges (a little bright), but fun and great to have for those birthdays that come around all of the time. Join my newsletter before 6pm EST Saturday, March 16 and you will receive the newsletter with it. If you miss the cutoff email me at kelly@connectionkeeping.com and I can send it to you after you sign up for the newsletter :).
